Corina Radu
on the B Corp Movement and having an Impact on the Romanian Market
“Talking about sustainable development is, actually, talking about business common sense. Acting responsibly at an individual level, driving a business that respects ethical principles and looking into the SDGs is nothing really new. Going towards a deeper meaning - this is actually what the world has been trying to solve for decades, with so little or no success.”
Corina Radu is an inspiring fellow Romanian who manages to have an impactful voice in the global sustainability sector: https://lnkd.in/dpWAAsTc
A business coach and a B Leader, she is the founder of Solutions4Impact in Vienna and the creator of Impact Market Romania, a place where she is continuously trying to find the best strategy towards motivating Romanian sustainability leaders to have a taste of what it means to become B Corp Certified companies.
She was awarded as one of the TOP 20 BEST Coaches in Vienna and is a Guest Lecturer at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, focusing on SDGs or Investing for Impact. As a Sustainability Mentor for GWNET: Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition, Corina is empowering women in junior/middle management positions to follow their unique path.
This month, she will be organizing the first B Bootcamp in Romania, as she noticed the main challenges sustainability leaders are facing are not knowing where to start, not being able to define the impact of their organization or being afraid that time and resources are not enough for this journey. Corina helps them move from running around in circles and feeling overwhelmed about this whole effort to feeling confident, having clarity, and actually being excited about having an impact:
“There is no such thing as 100% perfect sustainable business. What matters is to make the first step in that direction and keep doing good by leveraging the power of your business!”
It’s vital to support Corina in growing a vibrant and diverse local community of B Corp Certified companies in Romania and other South Eastern Europe and the Balkans, regions where the new sustainable economy is still in its early stages. The key message of the B Lab movement to companies is "not to be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world." Still, becoming a certified B Corporation is one of the most rigorous, comprehensive and rewarding processes your business will undertake.
Read Corina Radu’s answers for Inspirators and discover more about a resilient and hardworking Romanian spirit trying to make an “impact” a tasty word for any business leader: “Losing hope is okay as long as deep inside yourself you still have the drive and determination. Life is full of ups and downs, and every up means there is a downcoming and every down means there will be many ups coming.”
Thank you, Corina, for being an Impactful B Leader!
